She was scared that her father wouldn't understand and be dissapointed that she loves a woman, plus her father being alone if she decides to follow the person she truly loves.
At the end she chose someone who could be by her father's side so at least he wouldn't be alone.
I don't see where is the selfishness. She understood and loved her father that's why she didn't want to disappoint him but had to follow her true feelings ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
