it's pretty readable in my opinion. let's all just appreciate the fact that people are doing this work for us. it's your call to read it from here or to wait
Why should we "all" do anything? You may appreciate it; I feel no need to persuade you to think differently. I find it poor work. (And I know I don't have to read it, thanks lol. I didn't.)
Yeah, it is of poor quality. But you know what? A few years ago it was a miracle to find even a LQ scanlation. And nobody complained! People nowadays are so spoiled... Read it or not, don't bitch about quality - or help the group do better.
You ignored the point I made in my original post of how I respond to poor translations of new/properly dropped titles (I don't complain) vs poor translations of poached titles. If you can spend time to discern the poor quality of Saku's stuff here, then understanding my position shouldn't be that difficult.
Agree. The same happened to last chapter of Given. Banaqua is providing hq scans with proper translations and some group/translator (idk who, i dont remember) uploaded a low quality one. I remember reading two pages and dropping it when I realize wasnt the good one. People is so impatient that dont care whether what they are reading is accurate or not or if the scans are crap. Even if my fav manga were dropped I'd rather not read it than spoil it reading it in a bad condition.

I read a lot of titles on here as licensed manga vendors don't sell enough of what I prefer. (Sekaii takes forever to be released so I read it here first.) I've started titles and dropped them before the end of the first chapter because I found the scans or translations too hard to read. I never express my dissatisfaction in those cases. There's a popular and very prolific scanlator group whose translation quality can be uneven. Eh. The fact is that they do all that work on what seems to be over 90% new titles and have yet to interfere with any other team's work.
This is the wild world of unlicensed translations. But every world works by its own code: that's how human operates. It's bad form to pick up titles that another group has already pledged to work on. Obviously, it's a free world; you can do what you like. Just trust that if you pick up popular titles, titles that other groups have provided to the community as high quality scans and translations, and produce eye burning dross, you'll be called out. Don't be surprised if some take it as an insult (●'◡'●)ﾉ . You can't expect to be coddled on that point when you crossed the line first.
I guess this shall teach me to the value of patience lol.
