The mc is a plain-looking, naive shorty boy, who despite being totally "average" and slightly dumb has always been the object of secret one-sided love by his two childhood friends: a boy one year younger (who is also his next-door neighbour), and a girl of the same age. Both have been secretly competing for his affections since kindergaten, till the younger boy transfers to the mc's high school, becomes a popular, smart and good-looking male junior, and suddenly confesses his love to him.
