Aw, I really like how you interpreted that scene. It makes sense. And in some way of course Keiichi cares about Rio and even his brother's feelings. I remember in the last volume of Fukigen Kareshi, when he went to Sara's wedding, he was the one who took care of Rio when his daddy was having his moment with Ei (that's why I found strange now that he's a little ¿overprotective? with Jin at this stage, or maybe he wants to be a tease since he can't have his way with Shingo at he normally do (≧∀≦))
Also in the last volume of Kuroneko (the one when they take care of Rio when Jin and Ei where in London) he said to Shingo that he really loves the way Shingo treats so dearly his nephew and how he is with his brother that he wants to do the same for him (talking about characters development), that's why he's now sharing time with Masa and his wife in a barbaque (tho nobody said it was going to be easy for him (￣∇￣"))

Yes!! You pointed out EVERYTHING I based my opinions off of!! I'm glad I'm not the only one. Kei is a spoiled little hot muffin, but his love for Shingo and Rio is obvious lol. He's overprotective and sees rivals everywhere bc little Shingo was a little loose before haha. But the last scene here showed how much those two live for each other Only. I died at Shingo's response to Rio's kiss request!!! (≧∀≦)

that was PUUURRRFECT! It was adorable and it seems that Rio understood the all thing.
I think the whole kiss thing was the best way to handle the situation. He saw Rio's feelings and if he didn't care about him he wouldn't have addressed them early on like this. Which would have lead to much more pain in the future. But seeing as he is so young, before the romantic feeling was deeply rooted Kei simply staked his claim in a way that Rio would understand after Shingo explained he accepted it only from his "someone special". And then he carried him as a way to console him and show him that tho the love is different is still very much important. Ugh. So fkn adorable!
