The MC is at fault too. He is too indecisive and it makes it seem like the guy still has a chance, the fact he doesn't say a clear no boosts that dude's confidence. He needs to be more firm about what he tells him. For example how MC let him touch him at the parking lot, right there he should've said a clear 'no'. He didn't do it. The guy thought: "Oh, well. It'll take some time." He has an awfully good confidence and the MC never told him anything like he is seeing someone et cetera.
