After she got the bear, she spent the night at John's house and they marked that locations. Also I wonder if John and Elaine healing Sera also messed with their abilities.
I just assumed that was 'cause he had to "feed" off others' powers. Since Sera's is nerfed and Elaine's didn't do any good, not much he can do I suppose <:0
