while i agree with a large portion of ur comment, realistically speaking, both Michaels were not mentally well. im not sure if two "wrongs" make a right. if they had a happy ending with the current state they were in, im sure it wouldve spiraled into the abyss. they both need professional help, and i hope they got it in the end.
there are some inconsistencies in the story, like the fact that the ring master got married to lune, like WTF really he was such a bastard, I’m not even talking about him raping michael, but knowing the kind o shit they did to mina and still oblige her to go there again, even michael was treated more as a human than her, but as leo said, she was one though girl, she is one of the female characters I liked the most, futunatelly she got her happy ending; have to admit that in the beginning I was low key rooting for michael mina, but he had to go and be such dick; one word of kindness in the right time could mean the world to some one, it is not about love but about empathy.
my little brain can still not comprehend how could anyone love that lowlife, it is evident that he was still a pervert ( remember that scene where he desperately seeked for lune with sweat dripping down his face) .... ufff just remembering about him makes me mad ... let’s not forget the child prostitution he engaged in, with that japanese bastard...
this lune girl is such a mistery to me, for one I suppose has got be a very damaged being, far more damaged than megane michael, rationally speaking it is understandable why he got together with her, she is thick skinned, works in the same field, know how to be seductive in the stage, she knows how to charm people... must be some how decent ... but Can’t accept her It doesn’t seem right to me.... I have to admit that when curly michael had sex with her while megane michael was away in the hospital, it made me feel upset (I do understand that he felt vulnerable and needed some human warmth, time to heal to come to peace with all the tragedies and his love for the cirus ... even though I DO understand all of that, I can not erase the bitter aftertaste that scen left, I just for some reason can’t stomach it ) ... but of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion...
now the matter that pains me the most is megane michael, the whole issue with his sister is worth some prise, even though it was killing him he still loved her (of course fraternal love) and stood by her side, he really did love curly and all he got where bananas... you see I’m usually more rational, keeping my emotions in place but I was so emotionally invested in this manga that I was hopping with all my heart ( wich I rarely use) for michael X michael to be canon, that way both could have dealt with their internal struggles together... they both were fundamentally good people ....
so to end my preaching, I really admire the mental strength of all those circus workers shown in this manga, I would never to forgive the ring master and even less be willing to work under him again ... I wish I could be so forgiving.
