I automatically felt sorry for Tatsumi because I cannot feel a shreds of sympathy for that stupid mother who waltzed in again to try to act like a parent by interfering and suddenly trying to act like she cares. She literally served no purpose anyway. You can't just 'switch' parenthood 'on' and 'off' when you feel like it. I also started disliking Chinatsu for not considering Tatsumi's feelings after expecting him to consider her feelings. He's a brat, true, great. So he's supposed to care for everybody else's feelings and has to give up on his own!? I don't think so! Age doesn't determine the insignificance of your feelings. I may be overreacting here, but I am awfully cross with these characters, and am terribly pissed with how they behaved.

Absolutely agree with you! I didn’t care for the story after that. It’s like none of them considered the poor kid, his parents dumped him off and went about their business. His mom comes back for a book tour and all of sudden wants to play mom of the year.

I agree too. Pretty much the same thing I was thinking. And it seemed to me that the only reason why she was interfering with their relationship is because she was having problem with her own at the moment. There's still unanswered questions too because they made the story so short. I hated the mom.

I am glad i wasn't the only one who didn't like that.Even if she were forced to leave him,its not fair to expect him to think of her feelings when his feelings weren't even brought into play the whole time he was growing up.

and might i add,it was a selfish move made by the fight she was having with her fiance,so he did not deserve a slap!

Yes!! I was going to comment this exact thing! In the end I kinda wanted Tatsumi to break up with Chinatsu if only of some time. It was already quite ridiculous when he was told 'around 20 you will feel the pull' lol, you turn 20 coincidentally the legal age in Japan, and you start to become an adult. Yeah, right.
But the character of the mother was just so superfluous. Her sudden wanting to be a mother came only because she had an argument with her lover. That means she didn't take into account his son at all. "Let's uproot this kid whole life and take him to a country where he doesn't speak the language under the pretence of a better life" this was all made because she was feeling lonely. And everyone expected Tatsumi to put himself in the shoes of such a person because "that's the adult thing to do" when no adult did that for him. That part ruined that couple for me. Every adult pulled him in a direction they wanted without asking him what he wanted and then got angry at him when he rebelled
