He used an illegal way to put mana inside with hopes of awakening hers. The thing is (from what I understand) everyone still thinks she's a child out of wedlock from an affair. So they still want her dead.

So 2 things. She'd die if anyone found out she didn't naturally find her mana because it's illegal and she'd die because of the fact everyone still thinks her was born out of an affair and her dad doesn't like this smear on his reputation.

So she technically ded anyway.
