It's really sad, but you see most of the father are like that.. They just want their children to have a good life and not suffer but the thing is her father didn't think what will be the happiness for his/her child (on their own).. Selfish indeed.

I mean, sure, he wants the best for his daughter but dude, are you saying that your own daughter must get married to a strong and successful guy just cuz you want it? And he slaps her in the face just cuz she's tired of his bullshit? That's super selfish and ridiculous of him!
He might not have much time left, but I think it would be a much better sight to see your daughter happy then married with a Mr. Perfect.
