What if kurose met Midori by chance and planned on using him as a substitute for ao (which is still fucking shitty) because he thought ao doesn't like him cause ao is straight. But then he suddenly got a chance to go on a date with ao which he probably knows is ao (why would you talk about someone's twin brother in front of him so eagerly? If you did that on purpose in front of Midori you're shitty) so he took the opportunity. On another hand there might also be a possibility that Midori is in on this (doubt it) so maybe?
