She didn't. She said that after she had a child with her husband, she started thinking of her first child and him. Basically, since she's been able to focus on having a good life, she wanted to make sure he wasn't still stuck in the past too.
Ryuu was the one who said "He's your precious son... I can't..." Having said that Ryuu was implying that someone like him couldn't possibly have the right to hold her baby for he had done such great sin in the past which was him denying her and their unborn child.
