So Master-dude didn't get hurt getting the pearl. He injured himself afterwards to make her care for him. Thats highkey psycho. But he's toying with her from the beginning anyway, because he def knows shes a mermaid, and that trickery to get her maid to sell themselves to him.
But whatever... as long as he protects her.
