You're right. Rogi manipulated Asoda (through a shared acquaintance) to get him to send Tatsuyuki to Fukuoka. Then he manipulated the situation to get Tatsuyuki to be indebted to him, knowing that Tatsuyuki would be too prideful to ask his dad for money.
If it weren't for Nozomi meeting Tatsuyuki by chance, he might have succeeded in drawing Akitora out (or at least Asoda). But, it's probably for the best that he didn't. Pretty sure Akitora would have killed him or at least beat the shit out of him.

Rogi just wants the attention. He's been ignored. Of course, he knows he will never be liked. I think he didn't care whether he was stoned or stabbed to death, as long as he sees Tora again and is talking to him, no matter how hurtful those words are.

Hmm. No doubt he loves Reika (daughter) so much but at that time due to desperation and meeting Tatsuyuki again probably after a long time, it seemed to me that they met at the kindergarten for the first time in x-years. So in excitement and hope that he can get Tora to meet him, he did those without considering Reika's sake. I don't know if I was able to rely that properly but imagine finding out the house is on fire, fight or flight you jump out of the window, without considering the height or that you are not wearing pants. That's how impulsive and desperate Rogi was, which is understandable given his personality, but he later realized that he should just pour his time and attention to raising Reika, because Reika understands him and accepts him. Those are what he wanted all along, thinking only Tora can provide him with.

I think at the end of Yondaime, Rogi was surprised himself that he'd find another person who can fulfill the holes in his heart, mind and soul (lol); a person who is 1) female, 2) a kid and 3) he can't have sex with. Even in Jealousy in the present timeline, Reika as pre teen, still surprises Rogi at how big her heart is and how intelligent, sensitive and mature she is. She is probably a reincarnation of Asami/Ane-san. OMG. I just thought of that just now.

That's just a theory/interpretation!!!!! But on a narrative perspective, Reika serves as Ane-san in Rogi's present life, because of their similar personalities or traits.

OMG! and TBH i do feel for Rogi but that ship just can't sail. what do you think Tatsuki will come home for Obon and its his father, his male lover (Rogi) who raped him, tried to kill him and atempted to murder him as an infant and his mother! like you're mad to think Rogi should be with Akitora. Don;t get me wrong I think Akitora is wrong for cheating too. However someone did point out that most men in high position tends to have a wife and many mistress and i'm sure Ane-san is well aware of that.
