Marriage is not exclusive for Christians, and not necessarily religious at all. And how is any marriage"fake" when the majority of marriages are not "rule abiding" by any stretch of the imagination. This kind of mindset, I wonder what gives you the right to decide some people are in "real marriages" and others are just playing house.

In other words, only people have decided that marriage should be done between a man and a woman only. I am not saying you're homophobic either, but I am tipped off with your definitions.

Holy matrimony is a definition for two "christian" man and woman couples that was to be wed in a church.Get it. CHRISTIAN? I didnt say anything about other marriages because im focusing on Christian Marriages that they made legal for same sex couples.

That's why when my aunt married her lover (girl) they where complaining as to why the priest had to stutter and forget that they where both females and referred my aunt as a he.And added insult to injury he asked loudly on the two couples that who'll be the bride. See? That priest wanted to know whose the bride and the groom. still focusing on gender stereotypes. Im not complaining at only one priest. Basically almost all of the members of the church are still against same-sex marriages since the government was the one who legalized it and not them

I'm sorry if I didn't read the rest. But then again, we are talking about legal and/or formal union. I don't care whether it's a pagan or non-pagan shit. So it all depends on the government, because it pertains to LEGALITY. A legal union of partnership.

If you're not comfortable with it, then separate Holy Matrimony from Marriage. Take them as different terms.

Hmm, since we're talking about religion. I want to tell you something, and it's probably a deviation on the topic.

But the one thing I find delight on marriage, same-sex marriage to be exact, on church is this. God is our Father. I have always pictured him as a loving God. I picture him as a father. And marriage on church is like asking the blessing from Him, from God, from your father. And just imagine the joy of marrying on Church, the joy of asking for your father's blessing, the joy of God giving you the thumbs up like telling you "It's okay. I accept you" is probably the most wonderful thing a homosexual person could experience. It's acceptance. And above all, from our Father. And that's how we know that God is truly good.

If people keep on insisting that God hates homosexuals, that God despises a part of His creation, it's frustrating. It's frustrating to know that God is a hateful being. I don't want to live a world worshiping a hateful God.

That's why people, churches, priests should not insist that "this is what God thinks", because none of us obviously knows what He thinks. We should only know that God is truly good.

I know i was aggresive on my statement but I didnt say anything about god hating homosexuals. The other churches decide on it. So basically yes they had a union partnership but not all churches liked the idea since they think whats "disgusting or not"

Im sorry if I was a little brutal on my statement but im not changing my mind of legalization. But I do appreciate your statements that was made clear now. Im a Catholic turned Atheist but I still respect my ex religion since I grew up with it.

Hmm, okay. After all, it is quite hard to change perspective especially on this kind of things. Dont worry. I'm not saying you hate homosexuals (bc after all, why the heck would you be here reading Yaoi). Like what I said earlier, I'm just after the definitions.

Tbh, I was an atheist. I was a Roman Catholic. (Well, legally speaking, I'm still a Catholic…) but the traditional teachings pushed me to the edge of the non believers. But after some time, I also started to believe in a rational God (a God who made the world so perfect that He doesn't need to intervene). But then I thought to myself, why do I have to bind myself from religion? If God's existence is unknown, then nobody can tell me which is which. Believing that God never intervenes our life feels lonely, so i thought to myself I should just believe that God is loving and caring. Whether He truly exists or not, for me, it's a comfort to humanity knowing that there is a God unconditionally loving us.

And yeah As much as I want to convert back to Catholicism, science just fucking blew my understanding with denying supernatural entities and powers. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
