don't worry.. sensei mentioned on her twitter that the rest of the chapters will focus on the utou + sumi :)
But I think it's just the right tie in still since Sasabe currently parallels with Karasuma from the first volume. And they make a good contrast as well and with that it's inevitable to write about the first couple. I just hope we don't get a too short of a story for Utou and Sasabe.
I wish there was more focus on the new couple.
I like the old couple and it's nice to still see them, but they already had their own story. I want to be able to get to know utou and the new MC more, because their relationship development has been so slow.
