I mean technically, yeah. They're just so mentally ill & twisted that they don't get that it /isn't/ love. They might genuinely feel like they're expressing their love by mutilating and tormenting their victim. I imagine that's the case with Choi Yule.
It's quite deranged actually.
What [they] see by hurting the people they "love": I'm showing my affection!! they have no choice but to love me now.
What their victims actually feel is more like; um wow that fucking hurts can you maybe not.

Love loses its meaning if we define it as raping, torturing, kidnapping, self-centeredness, etc. It's not love. It's something else. To try and redefine something that at its core is about being kind, supportive, respectful, and unselfish makes it end up being meaningless. I wish folks would stop and consider that when they say Yule loves KyungSoo. No. He desires him. He wants to own and control him. He feels good having him under his domination. He does not LOVE him.

I guess what I mean is, it's more like how his sickness defines love? Of course it is not *really* love or something sweet like that. He just thinks that those feelings are love, and they are not, but he doesn't have the cognitive ability to distinguish the two I suppose.
I don't define love like that myself, because that would be...scary. It's fascinating to look at from a psychological point of view though.
By the way 10.10 recommend listening to lady gagas "perfect illusion" (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ it's stuck in my head throughout this entire conversation.
I do believe that Yule loves him but....in his own...special....way.
