I think it's impossible for Tanaka to create the situation where EVERYONE would be happy (readers and even characters).
If Tono actually end up with Kashima, Yacchan for sure would be bitter and feel even more insecure about Kashima superiority over him. Even when Tamura would step in and cheer him up...
For me Kashima and Tono relationship is too sweet,rainbowish and what interesting progress would we see between them? Tono liking Kashima back? Sex, cute,adorable situations...? Romantic dates... ?
And that's it.
I would prefer smt different, more complex and refreshing.
I am not a big fan of Tamura myself so maybe i have some prejudices... But i would really like to see more of Yacchan x Tono.

I don’t think you said anything wrong, but I like Yacchan for his faults. I feel sorry for him that he has such a difficult characteristic, and he has a self loathing that he can’t control.
I am sure Kashima has his own hardships in life with many brothers and sisters. It’s not his fault that he’s popular.
But, I really don’t want Yacchan to keep feeling so awful about himself. I’ve already forgiven him for how he tried to hurt Toono and Kashima by taking Toono from Kashima, because he only dug his own grave, and though he’s working so hard (in a wrong way) to be liked, he’s not getting happiness and satisfaction out of it. Especially because we know Toono will be together with Kashima, I can’t help feeling bad. I want him to get out of that vicious circle.
Kashima is more stable, and won’t think his whole being is denied even if he gets dumped. He has a healthy mind and good nature, so he can find his happiness. In that way, I’m not so worried about him.
I ship both of them actually. I don’t think it’s up to me who ‘should’ go with who. It’s up to Toono and his feelings.
I'll just add my point of view ... for me it looks like he likes toono just because he is ok with his real personality .... for me yacchan would be a better character when he would stop with this pretending in front of his other friends and classmates

I just wanted to say that no matter what kind if past a person has or which difficulties one encounters ... it's felt wrong wishing yacchan to end up together with toono, just so he can be better than kashima for once ...
I think kashima would be more hurt than yacchan actually ...
Besides i'm not sure that dating with toono would help him out of that circle ... i think that he should finally accept himself and show his true personality instead of pretending ... that would help him out ... i want him to love himself and gain confidence ... if that doesn't happen then my opinion will stay the same ...

Well, I just want Yacchan to feel more self confidence in being his true self, and getting loved as he is surely helps a lot. And it doesn’t have to be Toono, it could be Tamura or anyone, but being dumped now, and the one taking Toono is the one who is the total opposite of him, someone he wants to be but can’t, is going to be a big blow for him for sure. I’m just very worried. That’s what I think, and I’m not saying he should be able to go out with Toono or not. I’m just worried about him, and at least want him to try his best so he won’t regret it.
And, I’m certain Kashima’s getting Toono anyway. No need to be worried about him, at least not at present.
I don't want him to be hurt either ... i don't understand why sensei makes him fall for toono, but anyway before loving someone else one should love himself/herself ... i want him to gain confidence ... that's why he should stop pretending

I don't like yacchan that much... yes his character improved a little and he acts cute ... BUT ... after hearing that kashima, his cousin, likes toono, he wanted to steal toono so that kashima would feel the same "pain" he felt ... come on grow up ... kashima didn't force that girl to like him and he didn't harm yacchan ever ... honestly i'm grateful to my cousins ... i would never try to approach someone my cousin has a crush on ... at least i would wait till my cousin confessed and then decide what to do ...
I guess that he likes toono, because he is one of those who like him knowing the real him ... but i don't want anything else than friendship between them ...
I read comments like yacchan should be together with toono since he needs to find hapiness ... what about kashima? ... he doesn't deserve hapiness? ... just because yacchan is sensitive towards the matter with kashima ... just because yacchan was rejected by a girl ... that doesn't mean that i wish for yacchan to be hurting .... no definetly not ... i'm just saying that you shouldn't say something like that ... i just hope that sensei will solve this situation in a way where everyone will be happy ...
