It's a cultural thing. In japanese it's fine to refer to yourself with your own name instead of a pronoun. And since it's considered cute, some young girls do it a lot...

I hate the way the yae girl keep addressing herself by her name. At first, it was cute but it is getting on my nerves at i kept on reading. Can you use 'I' instead of 'Yae this, Yae that'.
