There’s such a weird tonal dissonance going on with this manga. The art-style and pacing is so light-hearted and cute but the actual subject matter of this story is about as dark as it can get. Every time I’m starting to enjoy the fluffier aspects of this manga I am reminded that the main character is literally a teenaged boy who was tricked into becoming a sexdroid and lost his human rights as a result. It creates a weird feeling of emotional whiplash that I can’t quite tell if I enjoy. I am very interested to see where it goes.
