Might be an unpopular opinion but this was pretty crappy.
Sure the horror(by which I mean the drawings, there's not much suspense) is okay but the plot was so convoluted and the characters, excluding the childhood friend were generally unlikable, you don't even get to hear the names of most of them.
Ending is also a disappointment, all that drama and build-up for that. I won't spoil it but it boils down to Koari-chan's parents fighting with each other and ignoring her as a child, something so many kids have to go through. Except in their cases, they normally just have to deal with it and not cause a ton of innocent people to die just to get a reaction from others.
Also after all of this, it becomes a 'happy ending'. Gotta love when horror stories completely reverse everything that just happened to fix the status quo.
Sorry if my thoughts differ from yours but I was really looking forward to reading a horror mystery based on the tags and synopsis. This was a real let down for me :/
