It's probably due to the weird... "fairy thing" ... that kind of wasn't addressed at all; after they got together, it just disappeared completely from the plot. I'd almost forgotten about it by the time I had read the whole thing from start to finish (and I did it in an hour or so, lol). ╮(￣▽￣)╭
