And there was just the extras left ┗( T﹏T )┛ damn it.

But I can't blame them, it's not their fault, there is a reason some groups refuse to work on Libre title.

"Libre" is a japanese editor, their company is really strict when it comes to protecting the stories they're in charge of.Many groups were contacted by them and threatened to stop their scanlations, that's what happened to the translator of this story as well.

I'm used to this in web manhwas or manhuas which are released per week. But first happened with manga,, usually japanese mangas are more lenient cos there's just too many of them to keep track on...it's bad,.. but it's not like they can catch them....the least they can do is to report the webpage

True it happens more often on webtoon, because the author directly see them and find them easily.
It's far from being the first manga tho, this is one of the reasons some group stay private, or some don't release titles from libre, some groups even had to close down completely in the past.
And if I'm not wrong they can do way more than just report the page because they own the copyright hence why they threaten to take legal action, and no one wants to get in trouble and pay a fine. I think only Libre goes that far.

    Oh well, what's done is done (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

How come they file a charge to a group or a person whose whereabout is obscure? I understand that they can trace the location with the email they use to register their tumblr/blog/webpage...but that's a lot of work and very difficult...not to mention this is also the era of vpn and ip changer. Unless they own their big server/domain like bomtoon, making money through it, and happens to live in the same country with the authority, otherwise I think they can go as far as give warning but will not immediately take actions as it costs them to sue someone overseas. That is why there are some scanlator groups who act like wild grass. One page got shot down, build up another one and have backups. Or go anonymous or private and leave no traces behind, taking precautions because let's face it, as long as they put their blog link on the page, it's only a matter of time till they are found out.

Tho ofc i respect that every group has its own set of rules. I'm so used to being stopped in the middle of series now that I have learned not to get attached to those..no matter how good they are lmao. But i still wish someone else will scanlate the last chapter when they finally do the deed (⌒▽⌒)

If there's an official translation in English being published (not just planned) I can understand, though shutting down a scanlation 1 chapter from the end is just petty. But if there's no translation being made then the scanlations are actually bringing the work of the mangaka to a much wider audience than it would have otherwise, and perhaps increasing sales of later translations of later works by that author. So perhaps Libre is hurting their own cause with such a strict policy. Further add that in many places it can be difficult to buy even official translations of yaoi. This way people can become acquainted with authors and know what they want to buy when they get the chance if available.

Yeah, its sad, translators should translate all manga chapters before releasing them if its from Libre tho its my own opinion.
