Yeah I agree, there are many "red flags" for him already... Like Zeno telling him he has a "faint scent of death" on him and that he should should enjoy life more. Also him confessing to Yona is one.

same.. been thinking one of them will die and can;t help but think that it'll be hak. there's a little extra chapter where yona asked him to sleep together because she had a dream where hak died.

I don't know what will happen to me if HAK dies...

So, i feel like Hak will be very close to death but that they wont kill him. They would lose too much to the story, even if his death added to and/or helped to awaken Yona, without Hak i dont see her happy or the story ending well, at all. They would not have her live alone as that would be too painful for the end, they could not place her with Su Won or Te-Jun, nor could one of the dragon's be a match because the feeling of romantic love isnt there-though, maybe in Jeha's case, idk- Anyway,ending it with her alone or dying like hiryu did would be too depressing and would really piss us all off, also,
While she could go into a rage I can see him remaining alive to help her or pull her out of it. Theres the possibility that he could be saved by the four dragon gods, since, when hiryu was alive they saved him from near-death, and if Hak dies it'll be protecting Yona. If that happened, Yona would surely be close to danger, which might summon the four gods to help her, thus 'awakening' her-king hiryu- from the dawn.
It is also possible, though, that Haks' statements about being a 'dark dragon' have a deeper meaning than a joke, and could be hinting at something. We also dont know about Hak's past, he was just found in the woods, right? So, either evil prime minister goes and finds a way to kill Hak-i dont think Gobi would have that ability, lets be real here- and nothing is done to/can be done to save him, throwing Yona into a rage causing her 'awakening' or Hak almost dies-think the time when they fell from the cliff!- but comes back to life to help Yona/calm her.?
OR, Hak (God forbids) loses his own mind, is injured to the point of losing all memory of Yona-we see this all the time in more classic romance managa's- ends up being an enemy, then comes back to himself somehow... IDK, i just dont think it would be possible to continue the story to any kind of happy conclusion for Yona with Hak dies.
Also, his power is too much for a human, his killing intent and powerful body are much too strong to not be something more. If we think about the sword and sheild, could he not be her sword-striking down her enemys, and her sheild from harm? It was never mentioned that they had to be seperate, only that they must awaken.. So, what if he nearly dies and awakens somehow as her sword and sheild-whatever that turns out to be- he is her weakness and strength, so maybe it has something to do with their feeling for each other?
IDK, just a few thoughs/ feeling i get when i think about this topic..
