they didn't know that hanahaki was copyrighted i think so it ended up getting disqualified :(
yee i found that the hanahaki disease is owned by Naoko Matsuda and Dami didn't know and that's why they discontinued the story, but it is stupid like she didn't copy the novel that Naoko made she just used the disease (that is in many other manga also) to make her own story so it is stupid reason.
