that's what makes the story interesting, He would be the nice guy in love that would be really boring, no interest. I can not help but defend the character that I find fabulous.

Everyone has different tastes and don't be sad for me, I'm not, I totally assume my character preferences. I like Alex that's all.
Oh of course, I'll defend that notion to the death but from my POV and i know you might not even enjoy them but my gut reaction is that you're missing out on some enjoyable stories that show case healthy relationships where they are nice and in love. I apologize that I made you feel like you had to defend your tastes.
I also understand why you feel that way, the journey to them hopefully being both in love and in a relationship and more important growing as characters is what makes many stories like this interesting. The journey is just a harsh one so far (for some of us to watch) and I'm hoping the author makes the endgame worthwhile, I will put my trust in her for now haha.
In fact with this kind of character we expect that the "bad guy" shows his flaws, that's why I usually like this kind of character, I like that he isn't perfect, there is the wait that he gets better in contact with the other guy, I don't stick to stories where the seme falls directly in love, shows it and does not hide anything, it does not interest me. I like the real hidden feelings. Maybe Alex will never like DG, I don't know what the author predicts, but I find this character searched and interesting, he doesn't look like others, he's not a Prince Charming caricature. I don't believe in perfect people, it doesn't exist, here Alex shows two faces and I really love this aspect of the story, it intrigues me and interests me. But I can love pretty love stories, I read them too, but I have a preference for complicated relationships. And don't worry I understand that you can not understand my point of view, no worries :) Sorry for my bad english hope you understand what I mean.
@Dweneya what makes this story interesting for me is the MD x Chanwoo pairing. The horrible relationship between asshole Alex and DH is actually vintage yaoi trope - the "he loves me so he treats me bad and it's all my fault" kind of shit.
