I'm still going to continue reading it, but I hope in the end nothing will change. Even when they live together and feel warm, there's still regret and the understanding that Akane's a replacement will remain.
To me, their living in sadness and pretense would be a better and more suitable ending than a happy one in which Keisuke really falls in love with Akane.

What the heck? I don’t agree with you at all. Each person deserves to find happiness, not stay stuck in a tragic past. Why would you ever wish ill on both of them like that? Of course I’m not saying they should forget mei but finding comfort in someone and then moving on to finding true happiness in them is NOT a crime.

I’m more like ‘I hope they break it off but understand that at that time they felt that the greatest comfort was in each other but now it’s time to move on kinda thing.

I don't wish ill on both of them, and of course it'd be great for them if they find happiness. I just think they shouldn't find happiness in each other's arm because it's too forced for the storyline and they wouldn't be able to tell who that love's for at times (like they're doing now thinking of Mei and wish they could experience that with Mei).
To me a happy ending where they truly love each other is unrealistic and an ending where they come to accept the situation that Mei'll forever be there in their relationship is better. I shouldn't say sadness, but I can't find the right word.
If they really move on then they shouldn't stay with each other but live their own life separately. Keisuke only loved Mei, so after he died Keisuke should move on, not find comfort in his brother. Akane only had a crush on Keisuke, without the regret of what he did to Mei it shouldn't be that hard to forget your brother's lover if you two don't meet again. However, since the author wants them to be twisted together, the matter shouldn't be solved like in a glittery shoujo manga.
