Hirara's aiming to branch out of the Doushinki and allign himself with the gouda group who have unofficial ties with the sawaki. He knows thst the acting chairman of his own group doesnt want to promote him, but instead Yashiro (who he has hated from the start). Yashiro rumbled Hirata's drug deal meaning the gouda group lost out on presumaby thousands. Apologies for mispelling thr group names.
Sorry made an error. The gouda are all ready a sub group of the sawaki (wrong spelling) but the leader of the gouda was heading to getpromoted to an advisory position so presumably this would raise the chances ofhirata being able to firm his own sub group away from the doshinki and join the sawaki. The gouda group leader? and members ended up dead after Hirata became indebted to them, so his pathway to the sanwaki doesnt seem as clear.
