Yes it is running away from the past isn't going to solve anything, and we can both agree that we don't really know Alex's ex completely but I can say he did a very traumatic thing for Alex because of seeing Alex's flashbacks from time to time I think his ex is one of his closest friends back in high school they both did a lot of things together until his ex teacher Alex about sex Alex fell in love with that guy but then his ex reminded him of only having a skinship relationship (sex friends) that's when Alex realized he was fooled by his ex's actions and that's the time when Alex made a wall in his heart where he couldn't love another person ever again, but thats just a theory though so running away from from a traumatic experience is being like a coward and I'm not shameful to admit that because that's what I really think about Alex ever since he tormented my sweet baby uke!!! Always forcefully doing whatever he like without even giving the uke a chance to speak for himself, you can't blame the uke for falling for Alex but treating him like an object is the worst!!!
