Seolwoo doesn't hate the detective for killing his dad in self defense though, he thanks him. From Seolwoo's perspective, the detective was his "light", who presumably saved him from his dad further abusing him or killing him, after he saw his dad kill his mum. When Seolwoo was first rescued by the detective, he displayed lots of signs of neglect, the detective's intervention and that he had such an ongoing relationship to him isn't a shallow plot, whereas let's be real the vampire & detectives is.
It really just comes off as you lot aren't understanding the plot and are misrepresenting characters just because you don't like them. It's odd then, that the characters which do actually just originally had a "sex buddy" relationship which centered around them being dependent on each other to meet their primal needs of food and sex is being painted like some deep relationship. Let's be real, you hated the detective from the start all because he was the one getting fucked, even the comments here were saying that he was emasculated and that you couldn't take the plot seriously anymore, goodness sake
