I want to talk about cliches and how people respond, complains and yet expect things to be either different or to go the same way as always when they knew the story was based on a cliche.
Disclaimer: I'm not talking about what's good or bad, just purely on a story based on a cliche. Nor I'm trashing ships.
Based on two stories I'm reading where the cliche base is opposite:
BJ Alex: if you read the first chapters you can already tell how the story will go but yet I often see people demanding that it goes another way or how bad the story is and no one should read this.
Unripe Expression: most readers want certain ship to be end game based on how is typical for a lot of BL to go becoming friends--good friends-someone falls in love first-end up together
So the first it's an example of a purely cliche base and the second is an example of how cliche tends to become a base for shoes we follow.
