She's pushing too hard. I'm sorry, but she doesn't have to come back just to please your stupid ass, if she does come back she does so for herself give her time you asshole. God, I'm sorry but that is not a "friend", that is a selfish bitch.

I agree with you. I got so angry at that part. She's thinking only about herself. If she paid attention she'd see that Akira is trying to move forward and find happiness in something other than track.

That is so true! Why can't she support that Akira is trying to move on!?!

The only way I could understand her attitude is if she feels lonely about the distance between them now that they are leading different lives, so she's trying to imply that Akira will always have a place among the track team members?? And to not be such a stranger or something? I don't know. But there are better ways to go about it without putting so much pressure on Akira. Why can't they be friends outside of the track team dynamic?

True, like why isn't hanging out just to talk or at each other's houses enough? I can't excuse her behaviour, it's just nasty, she should know that not how you act when you want to reconnect with someone.
Then again, maybe this is for "entertainment" or maybe it's a Japanese cultural thing we do not understand, where you're supposed to be happy your friends try to take you with them to do activities in a group (like the track club)... idk.

Yeah, it could just be purely for drama and suspense on the authors part. Like, now that Akira has started to settle into her new life they needed to add drama to keep things interesting I guess.
