It basically just mean that they don't know but reply because they want to know the answer too. If you reply to someone post, you will get a notification every time someone else reply to the post as well. So it's like 'I don't know the answer but I want to know'. Sorry if this was no help.

I can’t remeber this BL manga:
The seme was like a player I think and got with a lot of girls and then he saw the uke and decided he wanted to try playing a guy but the uke isn’t interested at first. When the uke finally likes him back, the seme likes him for real (there’s other drama I think)
