A bit forced...

Feels like Jill's "almost losing control" was pretty forced. Sure it can be a bit upsetting to hear someone say the one you consider your mother can't be your mother, but to get THAT upset about it? Heck, Cardinal didn't even get time to reply after Lily explained that they aren't related by blood. Maybe he was thinking "Oh, that makes sense then." After hearing she was adopted.

The manga is already good. I hope the mangaka doesn't rely on forced drama like this too much, as it doesn't need it imo.

I think even more forced was how she snapped out of it. Like is it really enough to stop magic out of control with just half assed "ok, i was wrong."

Yea that too. I've noticed this in too many manga for my liking. Where a very serious looking conflict or some drama is very quickly resolved with some small thing that shouldn't resolve it. And then both parties are suddenly all like "Oh I tried to kill you by mistake! No no, I'm sorry for making you make the mistake in the first place. (or something?)" Like some quick words of apology suddenly make attempted murder all right. As if the mangaka don't know how actual human interaction works... =/

I mean, I get that being polite and apologizing is kinda part of Japanese culture, but in manga it's usually way too quick and way too apologetic for my liking.

This. So much. Like super evil guy is suddenly apologetic and the heroes are like "oh, ok u didn't do it on purpose, u just had rough childhood" and then theres happy ending.

But even more so, i understand if the mangakas want to include some kind of event that shows something particular, ie here it was shown how lily didn't really care about the bad guy but only about the child. But if u cant make it work naturally, i wouldn't use the scene at all.

I really liked this manga, since i like reincarnation theme and even more so if its not just basic "oh im op with this magic and knowledge i have suddenly since i died". And it's really different from basic love stories too, i just hope this kind of thing won't continue.
