i read it like, he is strong so there is no need to directly clash with him, so lets manipulate and use the people around him to dictate how he acts (including the general population and people in power, not only his friends), so that they can still achieve their objectives despite having a strong enemy like MC. you see this could be a good representation that the world is complex and there is more ways than 'you die or i die' kind of thing, if their objective is causing the falls of the empires they can still do that even if MC will be alive by the end of everything, since he is only one person and can do only so much alone (i think the only mistake is that they aren't considering how fast the people around MC can grow due to MC influence, while MC will stay mostly the same, stronger than demons, the others will also catch up and be real issues for them).
despite everything the demons are the smartest people there (comparing them with the other people in power so far) lol so i am sure they will force him into 'cooperating'.
i can see the chaos raining down like madness and changing how MC can deal with his social network.
Yeah, that's a good hypothesis there, cloudy. It would certainly add a lot of depth to an otherwise 'normal' isekai story. I guess we'll have to stay tuned to see if the story heads in the direction you suggest.
