I am assuming that in the time between when that story ended and Phantom, Gian grew to be more emotionally ready to be in a relationship with Misha so they reconnected (although, I wish we could've seen that happen)

See the end of chapter 54. Callo goes to Misha and tells him that his doctor (Gian) asked if the friend of Callo can make a copy of one exact perfume (the one Misha gave Gian as a gift) and if he can, Gian’d pick it up personally, because he doesn't want any other perfume (meaning, he wants only Misha). But their reunion happened off-screen.
