Exactly. It's not a gun, it's not some supersharp uberknife, it's a fricken fountain pen and both are women--one a trained cop, one a gal who got out of spending a bunch of time in bed (hence, lower muscle mass). Ridiculous scenario. It ruined the current story situation for being so fricken stupid....
echoing the comment below, it should be pretty easy to fight off a fountain pen, especially for a cop?? Just grab the nib and at least push it away from the neck!
