Maybe the bully also had problems. He could have been dealing with family problems or even his sexuality at the time and resorted to the worst possible way to deal with the pressure. Not saying bullying is okay, but the bully might not be the root of the problem. The root of the problem is whatever turned him into a bully.
Lack of parental support can also lead young people down paths of bad decision making. Whether it’s the parents of the bully or the victim, they really should have done a better job but sadly some parents don’t even try to understand their kids. Parents resort to calling their children’s odd behaviours “phases”, “it’s just a phase”, and in the worst case scenario, the parent should blame their kid for not being a key to deal with shit by themselves. That’s when kids find their own not-so-great ways to deal with their problems. It’s a terrible vicious cycle.
Not all parents are like this, which is good. Progress is good. Still, a little more education on good parenting couldn’t hurt.
Aye. I agree. I remember, back in high school, we had this bully in our class. His father was physically abusive i think? Im not sure, but yeah, I agree with you.
The important thing is that people actually repent. I cannot stand adults who are bullies, however.
