It’s not unrealistic tho. It happens. In some cases, it is called Stockholm syndrome, and others it’s called Learned Helplessness and it other other cases, it is a deranged form of unconditional love that does exist. Trust me. It’s not that crazy to believe even tho as crazy as it sounds. Psychology proves it. It’s just hard to believe because you don’t see it. It’s hidden to the naked eye. It happens behind closed doors.
oh yeah i totally agree. I'm just saying in this situation. i feel if the older brother has stockholm syndrome the author didn't show it like that. it was more like.. i love you so i accept all the bad things you've done to me. Of course irl abusive relationships can work this way but i just am over this trope and wish it wasn't so predictable. i love yanderes but sometimes it likes ugh your relationship didn't even develop!

Yeah what you’re saying is understandable but BL mangas are just super short and mangakas have deadlines to make so I’m sure the author didn’t mean any harm in the psychological sense.. If you’re sick of the BL tropes in manga, I suggest you read some manhwas or webtoons. I don’t want to be bias but I will say Korea and China are definitely better at creating BL stories than Japan. If you want to see a well developed (and healthy) relationship, I suggest you read Here U Are. There are a ton I’d recommend but that’s the best one I’d say that has accomplished a well developed relationship. It’s still ongoing and will be for like 200+ chapters and is taking “the slow burn” to the extreme, but it’s still very beautiful if you’re up to it
sorry butttt uh even if i harbored secret feelings for someone for years if they raped, chained, stalked me i could not start a relationship with them! thats way too traumatic! i wish the older brother ran away! sorry the whole possessive brother love trope has gotten old for me. at least if they're a stalker don't rape them or give them trauma! its so unrealistic (which ya i know its yaoi its not suppose to be) but i hate seeing these types of relationships. ugh. okay end of rant.
