that is not true the white haired dude used his power in the end and said "you shall not get unrestricted control over your curse 'unmoving world " so the black haired guy can now control his curse just like in the end switch it on and off when he wants to

Its kinda a plothole,now the black haired dude will never be able to sleep peacefully for the rest of his life,his friend should have pursuaded the goddess to cure it while he still has the chance
