What is exactly "anything he did"? Building up a wall against DG's love intentions? Not being able to recognize he was in love all along? Ehhh, yeah, his past DOES justify it. He isn't able to get over his first love failure and now he's afraid of love, so he acts all insensitive because he doesn't wanna get hurt again. DG was to blame too for some things but he admitted to it, now all that's left is for Alex to do the same, but poor boy wouldn't have been such a salty jerk if it wasn't for his past.

He better make up for his bullshit. People go thru worse shit and still manage to be at least decent to those around them- his past doesn't justify anything he did.
