Im thinking it was because he is finally moving on. Maybe they'll be another story with him too, it seemed like it left an opening for that. :)

That crossed my mind at first too, and i can believe it with the type of person he seems to be, but because its completed i came to the conclusion that it must have been because hes decided to move on. Unless there is going to be another volume. If there is i hope its not about him interfering with them and its involving him with someone new, maybe even with the roles being reversed! =D
