I enjoyed the manga
The artstyle and characters were cute (however i didn’t understand why he didn’t accept him the first time he confessed, even though he loved him too)
Moreover it wasn’t one of those ‘rape to love’ mangas
( some small criticism ahead,I know it’s fiction but I just have to say it)
If you want to bring women and females into a story which is mostly about men, it’s way better to at least do it correctly
He kept saying ‘turn into hayate’s women’ and ‘i’m going to be the women’ and it didn’t feel comfortable because it makes women sound like some sex tolls, or sex position and overall I don’t understand what’s the deal with being a ‘woman’ in the manga
Another problem with bringing women into the story (although this manga didn’t show it that much, but it’s super common in other mangas), is the fact that all of them are basic sluts who have nothing to do than trying to fuck with guys or talk about how hot they are
Let’s be honest, no real woman does something like that, or maybe a few, but not all the females at the workplace or school. Specially in a country such as Japan where people are extremely shy

By ‘no real women does something like that’ I meant clinging onto a guy and confess in the most blunt and basic way

lol I must not be a real woman, I clung for 4 years and straight up told him my feelings ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ But i understand your point in Japan the woman are stereotypically more shy

to be clear I completely understand the points you're making just tongue in cheek comment on women and shojuo

Hey, sorry I know this is an old comment but I just want to share my opinion in case you still feel this way about the manga.
I don’t think the author or the MC meant to refer to women as sex toys or fetisherise/degrade them in any way. Because Hayate has only dated women until that point, Takashi felt like he’s being treated the same way as all of his ex girlfriends. You know, all the things about being a gentleman, doing nice stuff, saying nice words, yada yada. Even though it’s common sense between lovers regardless of gender, some gay men actually have problem with being treated as a woman in a relationship. They want to be “equal” and not viewed as something tender and fragile. Hayate confesse-se himself that he had no idea how it is to be in a same sex relationship, so he treated Takashi the only way he knows, unknowingly triggered the insecurity in Takashi. On the other hand, Takashi still wasn’t fully clear about Hayate’s feeling at that point, so hewas afraid that if Hayate sees him as another female partner, he will be rejected once Hayate realises that Takashi’s a man and that he prefers women after all.
