Exactly! It's like Kotaro 2.0 and how is that genuine love? It is an idea of love. Araki needs development not be changed into someone else's crush. I'll give mangaka the benefit of the doubt. I would love for Araki to notice what he's turning into and take a step back. I want him to cherish himself. I want for Kyoju to recognize that Kotaro isn't the only option out there and chase Araki a bit. Lol
I kind of feel bad for Araki. I don't necessarily agree that someone should change so much, for ex their looks, just to appease someone else. Yes, Araki needed to change his character but for himself because he was living a destructive unproductive lifestyle. For Kyoujo, I don't agree. As for Kyoujo, I like his development and I could understand why he is rejecting Araki. Does he have to be so cruel about it? No. I know he is straight forward but he's coming off as an asshole. I hope the mangaka knows how to develop them properly because so far it's just Araki turning into Kotaro-ish in a way and having him chase the hottie Kyoujo around like a lost dejected desperate puppy. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭...But let's be clear, I said so from the beginning. I want Kyoujo and Araki to be together. I just want it fleshed out where I don't get a bad taste in my mouth or feeling them being pushed together for the sake of leaving the main alone. These two characters obviously need to understand real love and care. And I hope it is together. (▰˘◡˘▰)
