Yes. There is a HUGE development in their relationships. But many people are just unable to tolerate any setbacks.
Though small setback can make big progress. Look at the volume 8, the quarrel gave them a chance to reflect on their relationships and they had a much better understanding of each other.
I agree, as I like to say; To move forwards, you must go backwards. This true for any kind of progress making development. Even though I learned this thanks to a puzzle game...
So many bad comments, and for what? It's not going around in circles btw, there's a huge change on how Souichi acts towards Morinaga. In the beginning with that phone call, Souichi would've yelled at Morinaga and probably told him to stop calling constantly. Souichi also wouldn't have listened to Morinaga, and would've rented out the room anyway.
Souichi's behavior towards him has changed, but we also can't forget that Souichi is first and foremost a TSUNDERE. Just because he says mean things, we now that he doesn't mean it MOST the time. Plus, they're both stressed out because they're busy, and because they can't see each other. Also, that Toro guy was a complete outsider and it was said without BOTH of their consents, of course he would've been mad.
