Hmmm... just my opinion, but perhaps it's because there are those who really don't understand the difference and use the term genderbender as a "catch-all" phrase. (or maybe they think its a politically(?) correct term to label certain stories with transgender elements as such? - but I'm no expert on this....)
Really hate when stories with transgender people are labeled as gender benders.
