But... didn’t he change his attitude BEFORE he knew he was pretty? He changed his attitude after he knew his circumstances. I’m not saying that what he did wasn’t bad but there’s a big difference between the two reasons because the reason of the change in the first place is becuz he felt guilty not attracted which he became after the change. Agree Shan lu showed compassion. However it was pretty shitty of him to doodle and profane on top of the homework of someone else who is hard working student.
Let’s not forget that Shan lu decided to be a shit head and bully glasses boy because he thought glasses boy was gay for him (even though that wasn’t the case -dude was just trying to pick some shit off floor)
So I’m sure Shan yu’s reasons for changing are not entirely pure.
Personally I just see him as a asshole seme who the author is trying to give redeeming qualities to in order to make up for it.

Shan Yu hasssased glasses boy and graffitied profane words on glasses boy homework, Shan Yu also decided to be a childish dickhead and shove back his chair roughly to interrupt glasses boy writing,
And let’s not forget Shan Yu didn’t seem to really seem to give a shit about implicating glasses boy in cheating scandal UNTIL he learned of the results of his actions could influence despite the fact that glasses boy was INNOCENT this whole fucking time.
To me this is a lot like drowning a puppy , and then jumping into the water to save it. Then proclaiming you’re a good person because you saved a drowning puppy . Whilst also leaving out the fact that you were the reason the puppy got into that situation in the first place.

Nope I totally agree with you but IF he felt guilty after doing all that and ready to repent then he deserves a second chance because everyone deserves a second chance but that’s my opinion cuz after all it depends on the affected person to either not forgive or give another chance
