Uhm.. I also happen to know how the series will progress, and I think your description of it isn’t the most accurate...
Well, to begin with, where did you read that Yuuto spends 2-3 years in prison? That’s not what happens, he is released not long after Corvus and Dick escape after the FBI provide the evidence (that they might or might not have had all this time)of his innocence. It might’ve been 2-3 days, or 2-3 weeks, but not years, the entire series, in fact, seems to take place in less than 2 years, maybe, just maybe, even 1.
Personally, I don’t think this manga is dark, it has some moments, but it’s definitely more pleasant and intriguing to me than anything else. Like how Dick has dreamt of being with Yuuto on a large, nice, comfy bed and being very happy about it when they finally get the chance, given that their first time was under rather shabby conditions (but Yuuto didn’t mind). Or how well Corvus treated Yuuto and protected him after kidnaping him in order to lure Dick there, because he kinda knew his (Corvus’) death would be for the better, i guess .. Oooh, and about the dog, it was so adorable how Dick just wouldn’t tell Yuuto how he named him because he was embarrassed about it (⌒▽⌒). Psst, it was Yuuti or Yuute or something adorbs like that~

Dick and Corvus both escape prison, and Corvus disappears without a track, so Dick, looking for revenge tries to catch him and kill him. After a while (2-3 years I think) Yuuto also gets released from the prison, and gets offered a job as a detective (in the FBI), and his main task was to catch Corvus. And since Dick was too busy hunting down the son of a bitch, a university professor(I think?? Ik he was somehow related to writing/University shit OK) came into Yuutos life, bless him (⌒▽⌒), thus a love triangle begins. The professor fell in love with Yuuto, but Yuuto had his hands full trying to find his dear Dick. With the help of Sonya's(brother?? Idk, the dude that everyone was scared of, and believed that he was the lover of Sonya, but in fact is a ray of sunshine that doesn't deserve all the shit he gets) help, Yuuto tracks down Dick, who is obsessed with his revenge, first, pretends to doesn't recognize Yuuto, then fucks him, and then runs away to find his dear Corvus?? Yuuto-heartbroken :(, long story short, Corvus kidnaps Yuuto, Dick rescues him, and shoots Corvus (I can't remember if Corvus just snapped and went full on insane mode, and dick just shot him or he went to prison) and for a Manga this dark, it actually ends very good, it ends with Dick and Yuuto living in a beach house near the ocean (that has been Dick's dream, to live in a small beach house, so cute!!) but before they started living together, Dick had to get his shit together so after the incident with Corvus, they both went to their own sides, and after some time (again can't remember but might've been like 6 months or like a year) Yuuto searches for Dick and sees him outside his beach house with a dog, a dog named Yuuto (king of romance, someone get me a dick) (≧∀≦) So in the end, they both are lovey dovey with each other and grow old together, in a small beach house.
