A warning to anyone new to this manhua.

This manhua is pure wish fulfillment. As if the author is writing out his own fantasies or something. The main character is OP right from the start (compared to anyone else in the world he's in), everyone doubts him at first but then he quickly beats them and quickly start praising him as a great master. The women pretty much all need saving. Whole organizations are handed over to him without effort just because he's so OP. You name it. A Mary Sue character if I've ever seen one.

I personally don't mind it. It's not my favourite manga by FAR, but I'll keep reading it for now. Just...don't expect anything deep or original.

Yeah, that's the problem with Mary Sue type characters. Because they don't have trouble, there's no tension. No sense of "He might lose, what's going to happen next?"

A lot of these isekai/rebirth type stories have them. It's nice every once in a while, but they never leave much of an impact.

Isekai manga tend to leave an impact with good characters or an interesting story or setting. But manhuas like this one don't have any of that. Character is a mary sue. Story is bog standard "arrogant opponent shows up, gets beaten up easily, improve cultivation a bit/a lot, move on to the next arrogant opponent" stuff. Setting is just the modern world but with eastern mysticism thrown in. So it basically has none of the qualities that an impactful manga/manhua should have.

Some do though. Slime datta ken, Overlord, Tales of demons, Kage no Jitsuryokusha, Everlasting sword of god, some revenge isekai, etc.
