You’d have to have been in a similar situation to understand. Erasing bad with good. Attempting to overwrite trauma.
I understand the attempt but it’s not nuanced enough to make sense that a person realizing that they’ve been raped would immediately ignore it to have sex once more 20 minutes later. He didn’t have a bad sexual experience he was raped and it impacted him deeply enough to sabotage his relationship. That’s got to at least make you pause and reflect instead of want sex even if you are of the mindset that repressing your emotions is the preferred trauma remedy.
People react to trauma differently.
I think, more than the shock, he was also releaved anbout his relationship and was anxious to verify if it was true :3
I wish the emotional discussions lasted longer. They’re having sex in the exact same chapter that all of that came out..... hm.
